We are currently seeking a Director, Transportation. This position is hands on operationally, transformational and accountable for delivering strong operational leadership necessary to achieve on time in full service to our customers at the lowest costs to serve. This individual will ensure that Primo Brands has the requisite systems, processes and talent in place to support existing and future growth requirements. We are a high volume, high growth company with a complex order management system, routing and scheduling environment, $1 + billion freight spend constituted by a regionally varied mix of dedicated asset carriers, brokers, company owned and 3PL tankers.
Base Salary Range: $160,363 - $196,183. This position is bonus eligible.
Responsibilities
- Provide transformational leadership and direction to the company’s transportation function. Ensure that the transportation group’s strategy is effectively aligned with the business, end to end supply chain and strategic initiatives of the organization.
- Deliver company-wide operational and financial improvements to inbound, intra-network product transfers and final mile deliveries to the customer.
- Effectively manage and optimize our current transportation management systems, practices, and implement other technologies required to both delight our customers and lower our costs to serve.
- Ensure that our company has the best, most scalable technologies to most effectively manage transportation and final mile performance to our customers.
- Improve and standardize transport related operating processes and practices across our operating regions thereby improving productivity, quality and reliability of operating performance that leads to improved economies of scale.
- Proven ability to attract, develop, motivate, retain, and lead a high-performing team of professionals. Has a track record of developing and implementing performance metrics that are correlated with success, while holding a leadership team strictly accountable for results.
- Support Primo Brands Safety Initiatives. Work with carriers on key safety initiatives, and hold carriers accountable to safe equipment and driver safety.
Qualifications
- 8-10 years direct, hands on experience operating and leading domestic transportation.
- 5 years experience in supply chain, beyond transportation.
- Bachelor's degree or MBA preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
- Travel requirements 25% - 40%.
