Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role in Meriden, CT, for the Shipping Lead position. The Shipping Lead will oversee and coordinate daily shipping operations to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of products. Responsibilities include preparing shipments, scheduling transportation, and ensuring compliance with shipping regulations. The role also involves supervising shipping staff, maintaining records, and collaborating with other departments for efficient operation.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of shipping processes, including logistics operations
- Strong leadership abilities, including team coordination, problem-solving, and the ability to train staff
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to maintain accurate shipping records
- Familiarity with shipping software
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with departments and external partners
- Understanding of shipping compliance regulations and safety protocols
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse or logistics setting is preferred
