Overview
Coritech Services Inc. is an industrial control systems integrator and UL-508a control panel manufacturer located in Royal Oak, MI. We design and build custom turn-key PLC-based control systems with a core specialty in life safety systems for automotive test and R&D facilities throughout the Metro Detroit area. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to oversee projects from contract award through system completion and sign-off . Must work well in a field construction environment with general contractors, electrical and mechanical skilled trades, AE firms and end-user engineering and management teams. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex projects, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and ensure the successful delivery of innovative automotive research initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in controls engineering, system design, and construction management, with a focus on industrial automation products and systems. Candidates with proficiency in project scheduling tools and construction estimating are preferred to drive project efficiency and quality.
Duties
- Lead and oversee turn-key electrical control system projects from inception to completion within automotive testing R&D environments.
- Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and clients to develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets using industry standard project management tools.
- Manage project timelines, ensuring adherence to schedules through effective time management and resource allocation.
- Review blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure compliance with NEC standards and system design specifications.
- Conduct construction estimating, contract negotiations, and manage procurement processes related to electrical components and systems.
- Supervise construction site activities, ensuring safety protocols are followed and quality standards are maintained.
- Oversee system design integration, schematic development, and troubleshooting of electrical systems for automotive applications.
- Prepare detailed reports on project progress, risks, and issues; facilitate communication among stakeholders for seamless project coordination.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, including NEC, OSHA and NFPA regulations, during installation and commissioning phases.
- Manage subcontractors and vendors to meet project specifications while maintaining schedule integrity.
Experience
- Proven track record as a Project Manager or Construction Manager with extensive experience in controls engineering or electrical systems design within construction or industrial environments.
- Strong background in electrical controls, PLC/SCADA systems, instrumentation systems, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and system integration for complex projects.
- Familiarity with project management software such as BIM 360, Bluebeam, Procore.
- Experience in construction estimating of manpower and materials.
- Knowledge of contracts management is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent time management skills.
- Prior construction site experience is essential; familiarity with automotive R&D facilities is advantageous.
- Knowledge of NEC, OSHA, NFPA, and R&D-specific safety standards, construction management practices, and safety regulations relevant to electrical installations. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Engineering, Industrial Automation, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of experience in automation or electrical controls
- 3+ years in project management
- Hands-on experience with calibration and integration of process instrumentation
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills; ability to manage multiple teams and projects
- Familiarity with PLC/SCADA systems (Allen-Bradley, National Instruments).
- Strong client communication and reporting abilities

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
