Position Summary
Mechanical Engineer focused on component selection, integration, and performance optimization within large-scale energy systems. This role sits within a core engineering group responsible for ensuring all mechanical subsystems meet system-level requirements, reliability standards, and cost targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Select and specify mechanical components for complex energy systems
- Collaborate with systems engineering to align components with overall system requirements
- Develop technical specifications and support supplier selection
- Troubleshoot component-level issues across operating systems
- Support validation, testing, and performance optimization activities
- Work cross-functionally with design, manufacturing, and field teams
- Drive reliability and cost improvements across mechanical subsystems
- Contribute to documentation, standards, and engineering best practices
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- 3–6+ years' experience in mechanical/component engineering
- Experience working on complex electro-mechanical or industrial systems
- Background in component selection, validation, or integration
- Exposure to supplier/vendor interaction preferred
Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of mechanical components (valves, pumps, heat exchangers, etc.)
- Experience working within system-level engineering environments
- Ability to troubleshoot performance and reliability issues
- Familiarity with technical specifications and engineering documentation
- Strong cross-functional communication skills
