Overview
Our partner is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the full lifecycle development of precision‑engineered products and accessories. This role is designed to build strong foundational skills in design, analysis, testing, and documentation while taking ownership of assigned engineering tasks under the guidance of senior engineers. The Mechanical Engineer will play a key role in ensuring all products meet rigorous safety, functionality, and durability standards across both commercial and professional markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Support full lifecycle product development activities from concept through production under guidance of senior engineers.
- Develop 3D CAD models, drawings, and specifications using CREO and maintain documentation in PLM systems.
- Participate in prototype builds, testing cycles, data analysis, and preparation of professional test reports.
- Perform basic engineering analyses and simulations to improve performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Ensure designs meet established safety, functional, durability, and customer requirements.
- Conduct and document Design FMEAs and manage RAID logs throughout the design lifecycle.
- Contribute to Technical Data Packages, manuals, and supporting documentation for manufacturing and customers.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Product teams to support development and sustainment efforts.
Requirements
- BS in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in engineering roles related to manufacturing, operations, or quality preferred. Understanding or experience with firearm design is preferred.
- Strong understanding of mechanics, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent problem‑solving ability, attention to detail, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with GD&T and willingness to expand proficiency.
- Experience supporting products in commercial and government markets.
- Hands‑on experience with measurement tools.
- Software experience: PTC CREO (desired), Windchill, MS Office; Enventive Concept a plus.
