Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a closely related field; seven years of increasingly responsible experience in professional engineering including two years of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Professional Engineer license preferred.

Duties
This position is responsible for supervising the Utilities Department's Technical Support Section. This includes development and management of the department's Capital Improvement Program to design, construct, replace, rehabilitate, expand, or increase capacity of water and wastewater infrastructure. Additionally, the position is responsible for negotiating complex agreements; preparation and evaluation of highly technical reports, and developing goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for assigned programs. Excellent communications skills capable of coordinating department programs with a variety of stakeholders, from consulting engineers to heavy construction contractors and internal stakeholders. Direct reports include four Principal Engineers, and supervisory oversite of a team of Construction Inspectors and the department's Environmental, Health, and Safety Coordinator. Perform other work as required.
