About The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Systems Administrator to join our IT team. This role is central to the reliability, security, and performance of Chelsea Piers’ technology infrastructure across all venues. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, cloud and on-premises systems, network infrastructure, and endpoint security—paired with the judgment to lead through incidents and the communication skills to support a diverse user base.
The Systems Administrator will serve as a senior technical escalation point for our Service Desk team, drive infrastructure projects, and participate in after-hours and on-call rotations—including evenings and weekends—to support incident response and critical system events. This role reports directly to the Systems Team Manager and works across all Chelsea Piers locations.
As The System Administrator, You Will Be Expected To
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 services including Intune, Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD)
- Manage user accounts, licensing, role-based access controls, and security configurations across the organization
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including Cisco Meraki switches, access points, and firewalls
- Administer email security platforms and enforce policies including filtering, anti-spam, and threat protection
- Monitor and maintain Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions and coordinate with managed SOC and security partners
- Manage on-premises and hybrid Microsoft Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and File Services
- Administer and maintain RMM platforms for device lifecycle management, patch management, and compliance monitoring
- Serve as the senior technical escalation point (Level 3) for complex issues escalated from the Service Desk
- Scope, design, and deliver IT infrastructure projects end-to-end — from requirements gathering and vendor coordination through implementation and documentation — working independently or alongside managed service partners
- Participate in on-call rotations to address evenings, weekend, and incident response needs
- Maintain accurate documentation of systems, configurations, procedures, and runbooks
- Collaborate with IT leadership, security partners, and managed service providers on security initiatives and compliance efforts (PCI DSS)
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, or Bash to streamline repetitive tasks, improve system reliability, and support IT operations
- Leverage AI-assisted tools and workflows to enhance productivity, accelerate troubleshooting, and contribute to a forward-thinking IT team culture
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including provisioning and deprovisioning of access and devices
