About the Role:
We’re seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead and oversee our Engineering, Permitting, and Production departments. This is a high-level, hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, project delivery excellence, and ongoing client satisfaction across Alpha’s most technical and fast-moving projects.

What You’ll Do:
- Lead and manage the Engineering, Permitting, and Production departments
- Drive timely engineering plan production and fast, high-quality permit acquisition
- Oversee job turnovers and ensure seamless handoff from Sales to Field Teams
- Manage client communication throughout the life of each project
- Supervise a multidisciplinary team: Engineers, Drafters, Expediters, Foremen, Supervisors
- Use Alpha’s internal systems (Job Scheduling Sheets, Budget Control Forms, OnTrack!, etc.) to monitor and improve performance
- Conduct regular field visits and maintain high safety, quality, and workmanship standards
- Monitor and report on key KPIs: plan submission rates, permit acquisition, construction income, and budget performance
- Oversee personnel performance, evaluations, and disciplinary actions in coordination with HR
- Ensure tools, fleet vehicles, and equipment are properly tracked, maintained, and optimized
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in construction, with at least 7 years in the field (carpentry, framing, or concrete)
- Successful track record in leadership roles: Foreman, Supervisor, Project Manager
- Prior experience in architectural or structural design
- Strong understanding of construction management tools, reporting, and production systems
- Proficient in reading structural and architectural plans
- Able to manage large teams across multiple departments with clarity and authority
- Excellent communicator with high standards and a commitment to accountability
Physical Requirements:
You must be able to perform full inspections in all types of buildings and terrain, including:
- Crawlspaces, basements, attics, ladders, hillsides, and slopes
- Tight access areas under buildings and physically demanding environments
