We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to support daily transportation and supply chain activities for a long-term contract opportunity fully on-site in Santa Paula (Part-Time: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.) This role focuses on coordinating shipments, responding to customer and carrier inquiries, and maintaining accurate operational records to keep materials and finished goods moving efficiently. The ideal candidate brings strong communication skills, solid administrative abilities, and a proactive approach to resolving logistics issues in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner.
- Identify customer needs, clarify information, & provide solutions as needed.
- Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations.
- Ensure premises, assets and communication ways are used effectively.
- Communicate with trucking companies to achieve mutual satisfaction.
- Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements.
- Keep logs and records of invoices, executed orders, bills of lading, etc.
- Prepare accurate reports for management
• Strong computer proficiency, including comfort working with business systems and logistics-related software.
• Experience using platforms such as CargoWise, CRM tools, ERP systems, or similar operational applications is preferred.
• Excellent customer service and verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally across teams and external partners.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate records, and meet deadlines consistently.
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability and sound judgment when addressing shipment issues, service concerns, or changing priorities.
• Self-motivated and dependable, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced logistics environment.
• Spanish language skills are helpful for communicating with departments, drivers, and transportation companies.
• Familiarity with billing processes, customs-related documentation, or transportation support functions is a plus.
