Optomi, in partnership with a leader in the retail industry, is seeking a Director of Infrastructure. This individual will help drive strategies and roadmaps across infrastructure and head rollouts like Intune. Travel will be required to Chicago ideally every 4-6 weeks!
Responsibilities:
- Define and execute a long-term IT infrastructure strategy aligned with business objectives
- Lead and develop teams across end-user computing, infrastructure, and network engineering
- Drive enterprise-wide standardization and operational maturity in a high-growth retail environment
- Oversee key initiatives including Microsoft Intune rollout, ACMD launch, and enterprise asset/license management optimization
- Strengthen enterprise observability and centralized management capabilities
- Optimize budget planning, asset utilization, and software licensing strategies
- Partner closely with field leadership to align IT services with operational needs
Qualifications:
- Retail industry experience
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Strategic mindset with experience in long-term infrastructure planning
- Strong expertise across Microsoft infrastructure ecosystems
- Deep experience leading end-user computing, critical infrastructure, and network engineering functions
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS
- Experience driving enterprise standardization and operational efficiency
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
