Job Title: Mechanical Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Onsite (Hybrid flexibility possible for strong candidates)
Duration: 12 Contract Potential extension or conversion
Client is seeking an experienced Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer to support design modifications and drive projects from concept through production. This individual will work with existing designs, implement engineering changes, and collaborate cross-functionally to transition updates onto the manufacturing floor.
The ideal candidate has experience in a manufacturing/R&D environment and understands how to move engineering changes into production efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Modify and improve existing product designs as required
Support engineering change processes and documentation updates
Collaborate with Quality, Procurement, Manufacturing, and cross-functional teams
Assist with Bills of Materials (BOM) updates and revisions
Work within Teamcenter to:
Access drawings and technical documentation
Review and support BOM changes
Make minor updates as needed
Utilize SAP for material and project-related processes
Support supplier interactions and PPAP processes
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing challenges
Help transition engineering updates into full production and onto the factory floor
Coordinate small-scale projects and align stakeholders to meet project timelines
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or R&D environment
Experience working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing setting
Familiarity with engineering change processes
High-level familiarity with: SAP
Experience with PPAP and supplier coordination
Ability to take a design change from concept through production
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Associate’s degree acceptable with relevant experience)
Experience in HVAC or related manufacturing environment (preferred, not required)
Experience using Siemens NX (basic familiarity acceptable)
Prior project coordination or small project management experience
