Expanding small manufacturer of machined and electromechanical products is looking for a Quality Engineer to drive quality initiatives that directly impact customer satisfaction and product excellence. This influential role uses your technical expertise allowing you to shape the quality systems while serving as a trusted advisor to both internal teams and valued customers.

Key responsibilities:
- Lead QA initiatives with autonomy, becoming the recognized subject matter expert for source inspections, customer returns, and first article submissions
- Drive continuous improvement by analyzing quality data and implementing strategic solutions that enhance manufacturing processes
- Serve as a trusted customer-facing representative, building valuable relationships while maintaining the company's reputation for exceptional quality
- Provide mentorship and direction to quality team members as needed
- Champion the quality management system, ensuring compliance while identifying opportunities for streamlining and enhancement
What You Need:
- Track record with 5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on quality
- Experience working in an AS9100 or ISO9001 environment
- Ability to interpret complex data and engineering specifications
- Experience with machined parts quality/inspection
- Strong first article inspection (FAI)
- CMM programming
- Solid Quality Control
