Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the company’s logistics strategy, aligning transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations with business goals.
- Lead logistics operations across multiple facilities, ensuring consistent performance, safety, and compliance.
- Oversee carrier relationships, negotiate contracts, optimize routing, and reduce freight spend while improving service levels.
- Improve throughput, accuracy, and productivity through Lean, 5S, automation, and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
- Establish and monitor KPIs including OTIF, inventory accuracy, freight cost per unit, and vendor performance.
- Manage third‑party logistics providers, enforce SLAs, conduct quarterly business reviews, and ensure accountability.
- Lead annual budgeting, capital planning, and financial forecasting for logistics operations.
- Support distribution center expansion, capacity planning, and long‑term network design.
- Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, hazmat, and global trade regulations; maintain accurate documentation and audit readiness.
- Partner with Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, Finance, and Customer Service to align logistics with organizational priorities.
- Lead, mentor, and develop logistics managers, supervisors, and cross‑functional teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field required; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years in logistics, supply chain, transportation, or distribution, including 5+ years in leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of WMS, TMS, ERP systems, and advanced analytics/reporting tools.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and drive strategic decision‑making.
- Proven experience negotiating contracts and managing 3PLs.
- Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, cost modeling, and P&L oversight.
