We are seeking a Head of Freight Forwarding USA to lead and expand U.S. freight forwarding operations across sales, operations, compliance, and strategic growth.
This executive leadership position carries responsibility for national performance across international air freight, ocean freight, customs brokerage, and integrated logistics services.
The role requires a commercially driven freight forwarding leader with experience building teams, developing branch performance, managing P&L responsibility, and driving long-term growth within competitive U.S. logistics markets.

What You’ll Lead
- Oversee U.S. freight forwarding operations across air freight, ocean freight, customs brokerage, and logistics services
- Drive national commercial strategy, revenue growth, and operational performance
- Manage branch leadership teams across sales, operations, and customer service functions
- Develop and execute strategic growth initiatives across key U.S. markets and international trade lanes
- Maintain full oversight of operational efficiency, service quality, compliance, and profitability
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management across the U.S. freight forwarding division
- Build relationships with strategic customers, carrier partners, overseas agents, and executive stakeholders
- Support expansion initiatives across vertical markets including industrial, retail, manufacturing, automotive, technology, and energy sectors
- Ensure compliance across customs regulations, international trade requirements, and internal operational standards
- Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing freight forwarding teams across multiple locations
What Matters
- 10+ years of leadership experience within international freight forwarding or global logistics
- Strong operational and commercial knowledge across air freight, ocean freight, customs brokerage, and supply chain services
- Proven experience managing branch networks, regional operations, or national freight forwarding divisions
- Demonstrated success driving revenue growth and operational performance within competitive logistics markets
- Strong financial management and P&L responsibility experience
- Existing industry relationships across carriers, clients, and international logistics networks preferred
- Experience leading multi-site teams across sales and operations functions
- Executive-level communication, negotiation, and leadership capability
- CargoWise experience preferred
