Concrete Laborer (Sewer & Drain / Apprentice Opportunity)

We are seeking an experienced Concrete Laborer with strong sidewalk and flatwork experience
to join our team. While concrete experience is required, the majority of the work is sewer and drain
cleaning, with concrete work performed as needed for repairs in alleyways, sidewalks, and street
cuts.
This position offers the opportunity to be trained and advance into an apprentice plumber role.
Position Overview:
The primary focus of this role is assisting with sewer and drain cleaning services, including
troubleshooting and resolving blockages. When required, the candidate will perform concrete
breaking, removal, forming, pouring, and finishing, particularly for sidewalk and alleyway repairs
that must meet city requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform sewer and drain cleaning (snaking, jetting, troubleshooting blockages)
- Assist with plumbing service work as needed
- Concrete breaking, removal, forming, pouring, and finishing (sidewalks, alleyways, street cuts,
basement floors)
- Complete concrete work in compliance with city codes and inspection requirements
- Operate jackhammers and demolition equipment
- Maintain a clean and professional job site
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sidewalk and flatwork concrete (start to finish)
- Understanding of local/city regulations and inspection requirements
- Ability to complete work that will pass city inspection
- Experience with demolition and concrete removal
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn sewer, drain, and plumbing work
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Pay: $32.00 - $34.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
