Overview
We are seeking a Concrete Laborer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in concrete work, with a focus on general laboring, concrete raking, and forming techniques. This role is essential in delivering high-quality concrete surfaces for various construction projects, ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal. The Concrete Laborer will work closely with other concrete professionals on-site, contributing to the successful completion of both residential and commercial projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and clean surfaces for concrete pouring, ensuring proper conditions for adhesion.
- Pour and spread concrete according to specifications and project requirements.
- Assist with concrete lay down and finishing surfaces using various tools and techniques to achieve desired textures and finishes.
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications and dimensions.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks while adhering to safety protocols.
- Perform maintenance on tools and equipment used in concrete finishing.
- Assist in the installation of hardscape elements such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations on the construction site.
Experience
- Prior concrete experience is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with masonry work, and concrete forming techniques is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate commercial driving vehicles may be beneficial for transporting materials to job sites.
- Strong understanding of construction site practices and safety measures.
- Experience in related trades can be an asset.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
