Position Summary
The Carrier Sales Representative at Riverstone Logistics (RLX) plays a critical role in the growth and execution of our Final Mile Capcity. This role is responsible for sourcing and developing relationships with carriers, negotiating rates, and ensuring the seamless onboarding of the MC. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-performance, high-integrity environment and demonstrates relentless ownership, operational discipline, and a deep commitment to both carriers and customers.
At RLX, our Carrier Sales team is not just about finding MC's, it’s about building partnerships, solving problems, and supporting the backbone of American commerce through strategic freight movement. Your focus will be on carriers who service the big and bulky final mile vertical of logistics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the full scope of Carrier Development recruiting and retention
- Serve as a liaison with profit center leadership while supporting multiple locations
- Actively recruit new motor carrier teams and communicate schedule A rates
- Design and implement forms, tools, reports, and processes to enhance company efficiency
- Providing metrics/KPI’s to ensure overall success of the contract carrier
- Effectively leading through clear, direct, consistent, and respectful communication
- Establishing and deliver contract carrier goals and objectives
- Responsible for oversight of carrier development coordinators
- Travel requirement: 50-70%
- Performing other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- 1+ year of logistics experience in any brokerage, transportation, or supply chain role. Or equivalent work experience, education, or training.
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated problem solving ability
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
