We are partnered with a stable, growing manufacturer of commercial loudspeaker and audio communication systems to add a Mechanical Engineer to their team near the University of Chicago.
This is a senior/lead-level role where you will be a key driver of product design and engineering execution. You will have a clear path to becoming a subject matter expert while working in an environment known for long-term stability and strong leadership.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the mechanical design of commercial audio products, focusing on sheet metal enclosures, brackets, and assemblies.
- Create and optimize 3D models and detailed manufacturing documentation.
- Partner cross-functionally with manufacturing and supply chain to ensure designs are cost-efficient and high-performance.
- Mentor junior engineers and serve as a technical resource for the team.

Qualifications:
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Expert-level knowledge of sheet metal design and fabrication.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
