Plant Vehicle Team (PVT) Engineer – Electrical Systems

We have an immediate need for a Plant Vehicle Team (PVT) Engineer to support electrical systems and vehicle quality initiatives at a major automotive assembly plant. This role is embedded within product development and plant operations, serving as a first line of defense for vehicle quality.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead root cause analysis and resolution of vehicle electrical system issues (design, supplier, or manufacturing related)
- Support daily warranty claim triage, prioritization, and containment actions
- Drive engineering change management, including plant trials and production readiness
- Review and analyze end-of-line electrical issues, including DTCs and system faults
- Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve quality and design concerns
- Participate in vehicle builds and support issue tracking (AIMS/JIRA or similar)
- Develop workplans and roadmaps to eliminate recurring internal and customer issues
- Lead resolution of low voltage electrical distribution system (EDS) concerns
- Evaluate pre-production vehicles for potential campaign risks and warranty impact
- Support error-proofing initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, or related)
- Experience with:
- Systems engineering
- Root cause analysis and problem solving
- Quality improvement processes
- Low voltage wiring or electrical systems
- Strong ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with vehicle electrical systems or wiring architecture
- Familiarity with diagnostics, DTC analysis, and electrical troubleshooting
- Exposure to automotive manufacturing or assembly plant environments
