Job Summary
The Director of Technology Services is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all technology operations across the organization, including Remote Support Services and IT infrastructure.
This position will lead the strategic development, implementation, and optimization of technology solutions that support service delivery, compliance, operational efficiency, and organizational growth. The Director will ensure that all technology systems—including remote monitoring, assistive technology, and internal IT systems—are effective, secure, and aligned with regulatory requirements and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy
● Provide strategic direction for all technology services, including Remote Supports and IT
● Lead the integration of technology into service delivery to enhance independence and outcomes for individuals served
● Identify and implement innovative technology solutions (remote monitoring, smart home tech, assistive devices, etc.)
● Collaborate with executive leadership on long-term technology planning and growth initiatives
Remote Support & Assistive Technology
● Oversee the Remote Support Services program, including design, expansion, and daily operations
● Ensure person-centered implementation of assistive technology in homes and service settings
● Monitor effectiveness of remote supports and drive continuous improvement
● Ensure compliance with DODD requirements and service standards
IT Operations & Infrastructure
● Oversee all IT systems, including software platforms (e.g., Brittco), hardware, networks, and cybersecurity
● Ensure system reliability, data security, and user accessibility across the organization
● Troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical issues
● Oversee installation and maintenance of hardware in office and residential settings
Team Leadership & Development
● Supervise and support IT staff and Remote Support team members
● Establish clear expectations, training, and accountability measures
● Promote a culture of responsiveness, innovation, and continuous improvement
Compliance & Risk Management
● Ensure compliance with all federal, state (including DODD), and local regulations related to technology and service delivery
● Maintain HIPAA compliance and data security standards
● Develop and enforce policies related to technology use, remote monitoring, and data protection
Budgeting & Performance Management
● Develop and manage departmental budgets
● Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to technology usage, uptime, and service outcomes
● Provide regular reports to executive leadership
Qualifications
● Minimum of 3–5 years of leadership experience in IT, healthcare technology, or remote support services
● Experience in ID/DD services or healthcare environment strongly preferred
● Strong knowledge of:
○ Remote monitoring systems & assistive technology
○ IT infrastructure, systems management, and cybersecurity
○ HIPAA and data privacy standards
● Proven ability to lead teams and manage cross-functional initiatives
● Strong problem-solving and communication skills
