Role Overview
- Oversee tracking, maintenance, and availability of project equipment, tools, and material inventories.
- Manage warehouse or site‑based storage areas to ensure efficiency, organization, and proper documentation.
- Procure materials and supplies while aligning purchasing decisions with project budgets, schedules, and lead‑time requirements.
- Coordinate transportation needs and negotiate rates with carriers and logistics service providers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to support cost control and performance goals.
- Identify opportunities to streamline logistics workflows through improved processes and technology utilization.
- Resolve delivery challenges, including delays, shortages, or quality issues.
- Maintain safe, clean, and secure storage environments; identify safety hazards and escalate issues to appropriate personnel.
- Foster positive relationships with project stakeholders and support effective communication across teams.
- Represent the organization professionally and uphold company standards on all job sites.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience also considered.
- 1-5 years of experience in logistics coordination or warehouse/inventory management, ideally in a project‑based or industrial setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with project or construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, Adobe) is beneficial.
- Ability to interpret plans, specifications, or technical documentation.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety standards; OSHA training preferred.
