About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to support daily transportation, shipping, inventory, and order flow activities within a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment. This is a newly created role designed to strengthen logistics coordination across inbound and outbound operations.
This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing carrier communication, shipment scheduling, system updates, documentation, and issue resolution. The person in this role will help ensure materials and finished goods move efficiently, accurately, and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate inbound and outbound freight for raw materials and finished goods
- Schedule shipments to meet required delivery timelines and customer expectations
- Assign loads and shipments to the appropriate carriers or service providers
- Track shipments from pickup through delivery and communicate status updates internally
- Maintain daily entries in freight, ERP, inventory, or warehouse management systems
- Monitor inventory movement and assist with reconciliation when discrepancies arise
- Prepare and maintain shipping documentation, including bills of lading, delivery records, and related logistics paperwork
- Support order status inquiries and help address special shipping or delivery needs
- Investigate delivery issues, damaged materials, and shipment discrepancies, then escalate findings to leadership as needed
- Maintain spreadsheets, reports, and logistics metrics required by management
- Partner with internal departments, carriers, warehouses, and customer-facing teams to ensure smooth logistics execution
- Help support continuous improvement efforts tied to shipping, transportation, and logistics processes
- Follow operational, food safety, GMP, and sanitation requirements within the facility
- Perform other related duties as needed to support day-to-day logistics operations
What the Role Entails:
This is a hands-on coordination role for someone who can keep multiple moving pieces organized throughout the day. You may be scheduling freight in the morning, updating shipment activity in internal systems, responding to order or delivery questions, resolving an issue with a carrier, and helping verify inventory movement, all within the same shift. Success in this role comes from strong follow-through, clear communication, and the ability to stay accurate under pressure.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 2 years of experience in freight coordination, logistics, transportation, shipping, or related operations
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Basic computer proficiency, including email, spreadsheets, and logistics or inventory-related systems
- Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing and warehouse setting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Transportation, or a related field
- Experience in food manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environments
- Familiarity with ERP, freight, warehouse, or inventory management systems
- Understanding of GMPs, food safety standards, and warehouse operations
- Exposure to domestic and international logistics and transportation processes
- Knowledge of export procedures, DOT regulations, U.S. customs compliance, C-TPAT, FAST, PIP, or ACE e-Manifest is a plus

Work Environment:
This role is based in a manufacturing and warehouse environment. The position may require standing, walking, bending, climbing, or stooping for a significant portion of the workday. The role may also involve twisting, bending, and lifting or carrying items of 25 pounds or more. Exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and moving equipment may occur.
