Purpose of the Position:
The purpose of the Project Manager role is to lead and execute projects from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and the delivery of exceptional results. This position is responsible for managing scope, schedule, budget, risk, and communication while fostering strong collaboration across internal teams, customers, and external partners. The Project Manager drives efficiency, promotes continuous improvement, and ensures that each project meets both customer expectations and company standards for quality and performance. The Project Manager – Level 2 leads medium-complexity projects end-to-end and, in addition, coordinates cross-functional teams, owns stakeholder communications, and manages scope, schedule, budget, risks, and change requests.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Strategy

Lead planning for medium-complexity projects.
-
Define milestones, deliverables, and success criteria per assigned projects.

Align project objectives with company strategy and customer requirements.
Execution & Coordination

Manage larger project teams; facilitate cross-functional collaboration.

Assign tasks withing project team, monitor progress, and ensure accountability.

Resolve moderate issues and conflicts during project execution.
Customer Engagement & Communication

Manage regular customer communications and stakeholder updates.

Gather and incorporate feedback to ensure satisfaction.

Handle moderate change requests with appropriate approvals and documentation.
Risk Management & Problem Solving

Develop and implement risk mitigation plans after signoff by Project Manager – Level 3 or Director of Project Management.

Conduct risk analysis and collaborate within department and across teams to recommend solutions.

Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Lead post-mortem reviews and collaborate to implement systemic improvements.
Monitoring & Reporting

Manage KPIs for medium projects; prepare dashboards and detailed reports.

Track performance against scope, schedule, and budget using assigned tools.

Recommend process improvements based on lessons learned that prevent recurrence.

Mentor Project Manager - Level 1’s or junior staff.

Academic & Trade Qualifications (required & preferred):

Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant certifications are preferred but not required.
- Have or ability to obtain OSHA 10 certification.
Work Experience & Skills (required & preferred):

4-5 years of project management experience.

Advanced planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management experience.

Risk identification and mitigation planning for medium-complexity projects.
-
Coordinate and influence cross-functional teams within a highly matrixed organizational environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with stakeholders at all levels, including team members, customers, and leadership including ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively.
- Understanding of various project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Scrum) and experience in their application.

Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; ability to resolve project issues efficiently.

Demonstrates integrity, reliability, and initiative; ability to lead teams.

Ability to travel regularly both domestically and internationally to customer sites and training locations as needed.

Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and obtain/maintain a valid passport ensuring the ability to travel between job sites safely and efficiently.
Machinery & Technology Experience & Skills:

Microsoft Office Suite (including Outlook, Teams, Excel, etc.).

Project management software experience (preferably Trello).

Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks and AutoCAD).

ERP familiarity such as Encompix or SAP (preferred but not required).
Physical Requirements:

Remaining in a stationary position, often sitting for prolonged periods.

Ability to enter text or data into a computer or other machine by means of a traditional keyboard or 10-Key.

Clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less (that is, working with small objects or reading small print), including use of computers.
