A highly respected private family office is seeking a Director of Technology to lead and oversee a sophisticated technology environment supporting principals, estates operations, and office staff.
This role is designed for a senior technology leader with direct family office experience who understands the demands of a high-touch UHNW environment. The Director of Technology will oversee the full technology ecosystem across multiple locations while serving as a trusted advisor to principals and leadership.
The position combines strategic technology oversight with hands-on leadership, managing a small internal team and coordinating external technology vendors.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the overall technology strategy and long-term roadmap for the family office
• Oversee technology operations across the office and associated residences
• Manage and mentor a small internal technology team while directing outside vendors
• Maintain secure and reliable infrastructure across networking, end-user systems, AV environments, automation, and collaboration platforms
• Partner closely with principals, family members, and senior staff to deliver high-touch technology solutions
• Ensure strong cybersecurity, system resilience, and continuity across locations
Required Background
• 10+ years of technology leadership experience within a private family office, UHNW household, or similar high-touch private environment
• Proven experience supporting principals and estates across multiple locations
• Experience managing internal teams and external technology vendors
• Strong systems knowledge across networking, security, AV, automation, and end-user computing
• Exceptional discretion, judgment, and communication skills when working directly with principals and senior leadership
