The Opportunity
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to join the Quality team. This individual will play an important role in supporting quality initiatives across all manufacturing operations, helping ensure product reliability, regulatory compliance, and overall customer satisfaction.
The Quality Assurance Engineer will assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems while working closely with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to identify opportunities for quality improvement and process optimization.
This position reports directly to the VP of Quality and supports the broader Quality Department.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Systems & Compliance
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure compliance with internal quality standards and industry regulations
- Help establish quality assurance standards based on customer requirements and industry expectations
- Support implementation and maintenance of Quality Management Systems (QMS)
Auditing & Inspections
- Conduct internal audits and inspections to ensure compliance with established quality standards
- Prepare audit documentation and reports related to quality assurance activities
- Support regulatory and certification audits including ISO-related requirements
Documentation & Process Control
- Work closely with the document controller to edit, maintain, and track documentation within SharePoint
- Ensure quality documentation, procedures, and records are properly maintained and controlled
Root Cause Analysis & CAPA
- Investigate customer complaints and internal non-conformance issues in collaboration with Operations and the NPI (New Product Introduction) team
- Perform root cause analysis and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
- Support implementation of PFMEA and Control Plans to strengthen manufacturing processes
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Assist in preparing reports and performance metrics related to quality assurance and compliance activities
- Analyze quality data and trends to identify improvement opportunities
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and production teams to improve quality and manufacturing efficiency
- Assist in developing training materials for quality assurance and compliance staff
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations
Project Coordination
- Manage multiple quality-related initiatives simultaneously and support cross-functional improvement projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field
- 2–4 years of experience working as a Quality Assurance Specialist, Quality Engineer, or similar role in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, standards, and best practices
- Experience conducting audits and preparing audit reports
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and regulatory quality standards
- Internal auditor certification in ISO 9001, AS9100, or ISO 13485 preferred
- Strong working knowledge of SharePoint for documentation management
- Experience with root cause analysis, CAPA implementation, PFMEA, and Control Plans
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret quality data and statistical methods
- Strong attention to detail and a results-driven mindset
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate across departments
- Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
