What You Will Do:
- Uphold all safety standards and procedures
- Support the maintenance and improvement of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, systems (AS9100 preferred but not required)
- Lead and support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions
- Write clear and concise CAPA reports for customers and internal teams
- Manage customer complaints, including investigation and communication
- Support new product launches through APQP and PPAP requirements
- Assist in developing Process Control Plans
- Conduct and support process capability and measurement system studies (MSA, Gage R&R)
- Contribute to continuous improvement teams focused on quality, cost, and customer satisfaction
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve consistency
- Monitor production data and collaborate with teams to resolve quality issues
- Participate in internal and external quality audits and corrective action processes
- Provide guidance to inspection staff as needed
- Train team members in quality principles and problem-solving techniques
- Collaborate with various teams, including operations, engineering, and supply chain
- Evaluate and disposition non-conforming products while balancing quality and cost
- Promote teamwork, shared ownership, and employee involvement in quality efforts
- Travel occasionally to suppliers, customers, or other sites as needed
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned
What We Are Looking For:
- 2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on quality, process improvement, or production support
- Associate degree or higher preferred (Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering), but not required
- Practical experience with quality tools and systems (IATF16949, ISO 9001 required; AS9100 preferred)
- Strong analytical and hands-on problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working on the shop floor and engaging directly with production teams
- Effective communication skills—both written and verbal
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and statistical tools (Minitab a plus)
- Familiarity with common quality tools such as SPC, Gage R&R, and CAPA
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and initiative
- ASQ certification or formal quality training is a plus, but not required
Additional Requirements:
- Visual acuity and manual dexterity to inspect small mechanical parts
- Accuracy in data entry and ability to use mechanical inspection instruments
