Role Summary
The Vice President of Operations reports directly to the CFO and leads all aspects of production planning and control, supply chain, manufacturing, and logistics. This role has end-to-end ownership of the company’s operational ecosystem, including procurement, quality, warehousing, and fulfillment.
The VP of Operations is accountable for the full operational lifecycle—from production planning through internal and external manufacturing to final shipment. Serving as the primary operational liaison with external partners and vendors, this leader proactively identifies risks, drives corrective actions, and clearly communicates status, challenges, and mitigation plans to executive leadership.
This role also plays a critical part in supporting the launch and scale-up of new products, working closely with Engineering and R&D to ensure seamless execution.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Control
- Develop and execute manufacturing and production plans aligned with business objectives.
- Lead capacity planning, process optimization, and resource allocation to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure on-time delivery.
- Own and maintain the ERP system and ensure data integrity.
- Deliver timely, data-driven reporting on schedules, constraints, and risks to support informed decision-making.
- Oversee production planning, scheduling, and coordination.
- Partner with procurement and logistics to ensure materials availability to meet production schedules.
Supply Chain
- Identify, evaluate, negotiate with, and manage suppliers while monitoring performance, cost, and quality.
- Coordinate activities across suppliers, service providers, and cut-and-sew partners to ensure smooth handoffs and workflow continuity.
- Build redundancy and develop risk-mitigation strategies to address potential supply chain disruptions.
- Establish strong relationships with strategic suppliers and sourcing partners.
- Oversee purchasing and procurement to ensure cost-effective, timely, and quality-compliant material availability.
- Ensure all supply chain activities meet regulatory, legal, and industry standards.
Manufacturing
- Lead and scale internal manufacturing operations.
- Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing manufacturing organization.
- Establish and enforce rigorous quality systems and controls.
Logistics & Warehousing
- Oversee warehouse operations.
- Manage inbound, in-process, and outbound shipping of materials and finished goods.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 10+ years of progressive operations and leadership experience.
- Proven experience leading operations within a hardware manufacturing environment.
- Successful startup or scale-up manufacturing experience.
- ERP system expertise (required).
- Textile manufacturing experience (highly preferred).
- Prior military experience (preferred).
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict, influence outcomes, and drive alignment.
- Proven people leader with the ability to build and motivate teams to achieve results within schedule, scope, and budget.
- Comfortable working with domestic and international partners, including the company’s Israeli operations.
- Willingness to travel approximately 20%.
