The Microvellum Product Engineer is a highly specialized role responsible for building and optimizing the intelligent product libraries that power our solutions.
This is not a general CAD or engineering role. Deep, hands-on Microvellum experience is essential.
You will design, test, and maintain dynamic cabinetry and manufacturing libraries that allow our customers to move seamlessly from design to production. Your work directly impacts data integrity, machining outputs, hardware integration, and real-world manufacturing performance.
This role blends engineering precision, technical creativity, and real woodworking manufacturing knowledge. You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Support, and Client Services to ensure our libraries are robust, scalable, and production-ready.
What You Will Own
Microvellum Library Architecture
- Create, expand, and optimize intelligent product libraries directly within Microvellum
- Engineer parametric cabinetry, closets, fixtures, and furniture solutions
- Integrate hardware based on manufacturer specifications
- Ensure manufacturability and accurate CNC outputs
- Maintain clean, scalable data structures aligned with best practices
Testing and Quality
- Develop and execute structured test scripts within Microvellum
- Validate machining outputs and data integrity
- Identify improvement opportunities across product data and workflows
- Troubleshoot complex library and output issues
Cross-Functional Impact
- Partner with Software Engineering to improve system capabilities
- Work closely with Product to enhance performance and usability
- Support Client Services and technical teams in resolving advanced data challenges
- Participate in Agile workflows and continuous improvement initiatives
Enablement and Documentation
- Create help documentation and rendered visuals
- Develop training materials and internal best practices
- Serve as a Microvellum subject matter expert across the organization
Required Experience
This role requires demonstrated, hands-on Microvellum expertise.
- Direct experience building and maintaining libraries within Microvellum
- Strong understanding of cabinet construction and woodworking manufacturing
- Experience validating machining outputs and manufacturing logic
- Proficiency with AutoCAD
- Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment
- Strong Excel skills including formulas and structured workbook logic
- Working knowledge of geometry, trigonometry, and mathematical modeling
Preferred Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline, OR relevant technical certification with 2+ years of industry experience
- Experience with 3D CAD tools such as Inventor, Rhino, or SolidWorks
- Familiarity with Agile development environments
- Knowledge of Computer Integrated Manufacturing systems
