Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Project Manager to lead FEMA Disaster Debris Recovery projects. This role involves overseeing all phases of debris removal operations, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong construction management skills, expertise in project scheduling, and proficiency with industry-standard software such as Primavera P6, Civil 3D, HeavyBid, and Bluebeam. Duties
- Lead and manage FEMA disaster debris recovery projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Develop detailed project plans utilizing construction management software and project scheduling tools like Primavera P6.
- Coordinate with government agencies, contractors, and local authorities to facilitate debris removal operations on construction sites.
- Review blueprints, schematics, and contracts to ensure project specifications are met accurately.
- Oversee construction estimating processes and manage procurement activities using HeavyBid or similar software.
- Monitor project progress through site visits, ensuring compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Prepare progress reports, change orders, and documentation required for FEMA compliance and audits.
- Manage project teams effectively by delegating tasks, tracking timelines, and maintaining clear communication channels.
- Address unforeseen issues promptly through effective time management and problem-solving skills.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction management or project management within disaster recovery or debris removal projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction site operations, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and contracts management.
- Proficiency with industry-standard software including Primavera P6, Civil 3D, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, ProCore, and other construction management tools.
- Demonstrated ability in project scheduling, coordination, and execution of large-scale projects under tight deadlines.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
- Construction site experience is highly preferred to understand field operations thoroughly.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders including government agencies and contractors.
- Ability to work independently while managing complex project deliverables in a fast-paced environment. This position is integral to disaster recovery efforts and requires a dedicated professional committed to delivering results that support community resilience during times of need.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,362.55 per year
