Role Description
The Logistics Coordinator Lead is responsible for overseeing daily logistics operations, ensuring
efficient movement of materials, accurate documentation, and timely coordination with internal
teams and external partners. This role provides leadership to logistics staff, optimizes workflow
processes, and ensures compliance with company policies and industry regulations. The ideal
candidate is highly organized, detail‑oriented, and experienced in leading logistics functions in a
fast‑paced environment.
This role is based in South Florida and requires 5 days per week in our Pompano office.
Qualifications
- Lead, train, and support logistics coordinators in day‑to‑day activities.
- Serve as the primary point of escalation for logistics-related issues.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure departmental goals are met.
- Promote teamwork, efficiency, and adherence to standard operating procedures.
Logistics Operations
- Oversee inbound and outbound shipments, including scheduling, routing, and tracking.
- Coordinate with warehouse, production, purchasing, and customer service to ensure
- smooth workflow.
- Verify shipping documentation for accuracy, including BOLs, packing lists, and customs
- documentation.
- Maintain real-time visibility of inventory movement and logistics timelines
Vendor & Carrier Management
- Communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, and vendors to secure transportation and
- resolve discrepancies.
- Review carrier performance, negotiate rates when applicable, and ensure service
- quality.
- Maintain strong relationships with logistics partners to support operational needs.
- Process Improvement & Compliance
- Evaluate processes and identify areas for improvement in efficiency, accuracy, and cost
- control.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations related to shipping,
- receiving, and documentation.
- Maintain detailed records, logs, and reports for audits and performance tracking.
- Systems & Reporting
- Utilize logistics and ERP systems to manage shipments, inventory, and reporting.
- Prepare daily/weekly metrics, shipment reports, and logistics performance summaries.
- Troubleshoot system issues and support staff in proper system usage.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
(preferred).
3+ years of logistics or supply chain experience; prior leadership or teamlead experience
required.
Strong understanding of shipping methods, carrier requirements, and logistics
documentation.
Proficiency in logistics software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication, problemsolving, and organizational skills.
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
