Job Summary – Network Engineer – Project Lead

Lead the design, implementation, and support of enterprise-level Cisco/Meraki network infrastructure for statewide operations.
Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot WAN, LAN, and wireless networks to ensure secure and reliable connectivity.
Configure and patch Cisco firewalls (ASA5508-X, ASA5585-X, FirePower4110/2120) and switches (3750, C9500, C9300, Nexus5k/7k).
Support Meraki switches, wireless access points, and firewalls (MX450).
Develop and execute implementation and test plans for Cisco and Meraki network deployments.
Provide remote troubleshooting and technical support to county IT partners.
Analyze logs, document requests, and implement measures to enhance network performance and security.
Lead end-to-end network projects, including defining scope, gathering requirements, building architectures, and delivering solutions.
Facilitate knowledge transfer and provide informal training to technical team members.
Communicate infrastructure design and decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Utilize tools such as Wireshark, Cisco FMC, ASDM, ISE, Putty, PowerShell, Nmap, SIEM, and Cisco Security Manager.
Maintain up-to-date Cisco CCNA and CCNP certifications and demonstrate proficiency in advanced networking concepts and tools.
