We are seeking an IT Software & Cloud Specialist to be our go-to expert for software applications, cloud infrastructure, IT solutions, and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions and integrations.
About the Role
As the quality of our products is paramount, we are expanding our team of Product Quality Engineers. Ideal candidates are organized, self-starters who can lead a variety of projects simultaneously and have an interest in the manufacturing and performance properties of rubber compounding and metal components. Our Product Quality Engineers work to inspect molded and extruded rubber products to ensure all finished goods conform to their physical and material specifications. We are looking for someone who can thrive in a small company atmosphere that values efficiency and detailed work.
Essential Functions
This job will be expected to complete the following functions. This is not an all-inclusive list. This job may be assigned other functions or tasks. This is meant to be a general description of the most essential functions only.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and test first piece samples
- Utilize measurement equipment to determine conformance of new product to print specifications
- Prepare and Complete Customer PPAP Documentation
- Prepare and Complete Initial Sample Inspection Reports
- Review Manufacturing Inspection Files for data accuracy
- Assist in determining the cause of quality problems and recommendations for corrective action
- Improve quality by maintaining statistical process and statistical quality control methods
- Participate in APQP activities within new product development cycle
- Drive continuous improvement through quality system updates
- Discuss and report inspection results with the product quality team
- Daily communication with product quality and engineering team
- Other duties as assigned
Skills/Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials, Chemical) or Related Field
- Previous experience with quality control or analytical labs, preferred
- Manufacturing experience, particularly in molding and extruding technologies, preferred
- A high attention to detail, with ability to complete tasks accurately and consistently
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks throughout the workday
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Positive attitude and professional demeanor
- Self-starter and self-motivated
- Technical skills, such as blueprint reading, preferred
- Comfortable working independently, as well as part of a cross-functional team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel
