Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 10 quality professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and growth.
- Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO and customer standards.
- Manage quality inspection processes, testing procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
- Partner with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to identify and resolve quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Analyze quality data and trends to recommend process improvements and reduce scrap, rework, and customer complaints.
- Support and lead internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with customer, industry, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and improve product traceability, documentation, and reporting systems.
- Serve as a key liaison with customers regarding quality concerns, certifications, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, training, and adherence to company quality and safety standards.
- Champion a culture of quality excellence throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in quality management, with a proven track record in manufacturing environments; plastics or injection molding experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing a quality team (10 or more direct reports ideal).
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards, statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and problem-solving methodologies (8D, Six Sigma, etc.).
