Who we're looking for: Toyota Motor North America's Service Parts Operations (SPO) Logistics Trainee (LT) program is 6-18-month on-the-job training program designed to develop future Operations Leaders (frontline supervisors) within the SPO supply chain. Key features include:
- Role: Logistics Trainee working closely with Operational leaders on daily operations and objectives.
- Training: Hands-on experience in SPO's dynamic supply chain, applying Toyota's problem-solving tools and leadership skills daily.
- Curriculum: Core Global Content Training (Toyota Production System, Ji Kotei Kanketsu, Toyota Business Practices) plus foundational leadership education (Situational Leadership II).
- Mentorship: Guided by a mentor team for experience, exposure, education, and business insight.
- Goal: Develop candidates who embody Toyota's values, challenge existing systems, and improve quality, efficiency, and lead times for breakthrough performance.
This program prepares trainees to become effective frontline supervisors by immersing them in Toyota's operational culture and leadership practices.
Typical Career Path: Logistics Trainee> Operations Leader > Production/Operations Manager
Locations: What you'll be doing - Immersed directly in daily operations within the SPO supply chain
- Responsible for supporting and driving daily performance and operational objectives
- Learn and applying Toyota's core values, daily management practices, and problem-solving tools
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and operational leaders to identify and implement improvements
- Participating in hands-on projects that focuses on safety, enhance quality, efficiency, and lead times
What you bring - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Liberal Arts with a minimum GPA of 2.7 or equivalent work experience in related field (3-year minimum).
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be willing to relocate (immediate and/or future).
- Must have the right to work in the United States and not require Toyota sponsorship for immigration-related employment (e.g., H-1B, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, TN, or F-1 OPT extension) now or in the future.
- High degree of written and verbal communication skills and proficient in MS Word, Excel PowerPoint, Power BI.
