Role Summary
Brightstar.AI is an
AI intervention company helping mid-level enterprises modernize their IT foundations and adopt AI solutions that transform the way they work. As
Director of IT, you’ll report directly to the CIO and play a key leadership role in both
internal IT operations and
client-facing transformation programs. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll balance
scalable IT service delivery with
driving AI-enabled change across our clients.
What You’ll Do
- Lead Brightstar.AI’s and portfolio company’s IT operations, including infrastructure, enterprise systems, cloud, and security.
- Implement IT governance, compliance, and service delivery practices aligned with CIO strategy.
- Partner with portfolio company to assess IT environments, develop transformation roadmaps, and oversee delivery.
- Integrate best practices and automation into IT processes to improve efficiency and insights.
- Act as a trusted advisor to client executives on IT modernization and digital transformation.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure cost-effective, scalable technology solutions.
- Build and mentor a growing IT team, fostering innovation and accountability.
- Track KPIs, budgets, and performance metrics, providing insights to CIO and senior leadership.
What You’ll Need
- 8–12+ years of IT leadership experience with both enterprise IT operations and digital transformation delivery.
- Strong technical background in infrastructure, cloud platforms, enterprise applications, and IT service management.
- Proven experience leading IT modernization programs for mid-market or enterprise clients.
- Familiarity with AI/ML technologies and their application in IT environments.
- Strong understanding of governance, compliance, and security best practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence executives and client stakeholders.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
Nice-to-Haves
- Industry certifications such as ITIL, TOGAF, CISM, CISSP, or PMP.
- Hands-on experience with MLOps, data platforms, or AI-powered IT monitoring.
- Background in IT consulting, professional services, or system integration.
- Prior experience in a high-growth, scale-up environment.
