As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Customer Service & Logistics Coordinator to support our Logistics Manager in coordinating shipments, managing customer orders, and ensuring timely deliveries nationwide.
Position Summary
The Customer Service & Logistics Coordinator serves as a critical link between our customers, warehouse, transportation providers, and sales team. This position is responsible for processing customer orders, communicating shipment status, assisting with route planning, and coordinating nationwide frozen food deliveries via Full Truckload (FTL) and Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) refrigerated carriers.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and possesses strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Essential Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Receive, enter, and manage customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Communicate with customers regarding order status, shipping schedules, delivery appointments, and special requests.
- Resolve customer inquiries and shipping-related issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Coordinate with Sales, Warehouse, and Production
- Maintain accurate customer records and order documentation.
Logistics Coordination
- Assist the Logistics Manager in planning and coordinating weekly deliveries
- Schedule and monitor FTL and LTL refrigerated shipments nationwide.
- Communicate with carriers, brokers, and transportation partners regarding pickups, deliveries, and service requirements.
- Track shipments and proactively address transportation delays or delivery issues.
- Prepare and maintain shipping documentation, bills of lading, and related logistics records.
- Assist in optimizing freight utilization and delivery efficiency.
- Monitor freight costs and support efforts to improve transportation performance.
Administrative Support
- Generate reports related to orders, deliveries, and transportation activity.
- Maintain accurate records within SAP B1.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics department.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- 2+ years of experience in customer service, logistics, transportation, supply chain, or order management.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
Preferred
- Experience in frozen food distribution, or refrigerated transportation.
- Experience coordinating FTL and LTL shipments.
- Knowledge of route planning and freight scheduling.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP Business One experience is a plus).
