We are seeking a Platform IT Operations Leader to own the reliability, scalability, and performance of our global enterprise platforms. This individual will lead infrastructure and cloud operations across a hybrid environment, ensuring systems are secure, compliant, and always available to support business-critical operations. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving modern platform operations, building reliability engineering capabilities, and leading global teams and partners.
Responsibilities
- Lead global platform operations across cloud, data centers, and enterprise applications, ensuring high availability and performance
- Define and execute a platform operations strategy covering compute, storage, cloud, databases, backup, and monitoring
- Build and mature a platform reliability or site reliability engineering function focused on automation, observability, and resilience
- Establish service levels, operational processes, and governance aligned to ITIL and reliability best practices
- Oversee hybrid infrastructure environments including cloud platforms and on-premise systems
- Drive automation and infrastructure-as-code to improve scalability and reduce manual effort
- Partner with architecture, security, and application teams to deliver secure and scalable platform services
- Ensure reliability of enterprise platforms including ERP, CRM, data platforms, and business applications
- Lead database operations including performance, backup, recovery, and patching across multiple platforms
- Implement monitoring, observability, and incident management capabilities to improve system visibility and response
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and security requirements, including audit readiness and control management
- Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning for critical systems
- Manage global teams and external partners to deliver 24x7 operational support
- Own infrastructure and cloud budgets, driving cost optimization and financial transparency
Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud, or platform operations
- 7+ years of leadership experience managing global teams and/or managed service providers
- Experience operating in hybrid environments across cloud and on-premise infrastructure
- Strong understanding of enterprise platforms, infrastructure services, and operational best practices
- Experience building or scaling reliability engineering or modern operations functions
- Background working in regulated environments such as manufacturing, aerospace, healthcare, or similar industries preferred
- Proven ability to lead large-scale operations, drive improvements, and manage complex environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Technical Environment
- Cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS
- Virtualization and container technologies including VMware and Kubernetes
- Enterprise databases including SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL
- Monitoring and observability tools such as ServiceNow, Splunk, Datadog, or Dynatrace
- Automation tools including Terraform, Ansible, and scripting frameworks
