Job Summary
The Inventory and Logistics Specialist is responsible for daily coordination and shipment of patient specific implants to ensure on time delivery for surgeries. This requires coordination with our planning and manufacturing departments in daily meetings in order to prepare shipping lists and provide the Sales and Customer Support teams with accurate delivery and availability times.
Duties and responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong internal working relationships across restor3d.
- Understand the objectives, responsibilities, and mission of the Customer Support department and work towards those goals.
- Prioritize and plan work activities; adapt for changing conditions.
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of logistics for the Operations and Sales departments.
- Prepare daily production reports and ship lists.
- Independently prioritize daily initiatives.
- Provide up-to-date, clear and precise information, reporting daily information to the Operations and Sales Departments regarding all aspects of product logistics.
- Maintain effective working relations and communications with departmental and other corporate staff.
- Daily reporting between Manufacturing/Customer Support to track implants real time for shipping projections.
- Real-Time monitoring and reporting of product as it goes through production to maintain shipping methods/updates for Customer Support and Sales teams.
- Monitor and ensure shipments are confirmed picked up and delivered as scheduled.
- Work with external customers and freight providers to prioritize, manage and track medical devices both domestically and internationally.
- Remain on-call during implant transport times to answer questions or provide assistance as needed.
- Provide back-up support to Customer Support as needed.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree or at least 5 years of previous experience in logistics, planning and/or distribution preferably in the medical device or related fields.
- Must have experience in completion of international paperwork such as airbills and customs invoices.
- Must have the ability to solve complex problems within an established protocol of procedures and determine possible solutions.
- Must be available to work during non-business hours such as weekends and evenings when urgent needs arise.
- Must be available to travel on short notice domestically and internationally.
- Valid US driver’s license and US passport.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with ERP programs (e.g. Oracle, SAP) and CRM databases.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to travel by plan up to 50% of the time.
- Able to lift and move packages up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
