Sr. Supply Chain Manager
Company: Snoozy
Reports to: COO
Location: Remote, Northeast US; remote-based with regular travel to manufacturers, distribution partners, and state markets
Compensation: $105,000–$120,000 base + performance bonus
About SnoozySnoozy is a fast-growing hemp wellness brand built around effects-based positioning — sleep, stress, focus, energy — combining cannabinoids with adaptogens and botanicals. We sell nationally across D2C, hemp retail and in licensed cannabis dispensaries, and we are actively expanding into new states and new brands. We are a small, fast-moving team that operates with a high degree of ownership at every level.
The RoleYou’ll own Snoozy’s entire supply chain from packaging to finished product. This covers everything from ensuring that products and packaging are compliant with local regulations, to active ingredient sourcing to packaging procurement to contract manufacturer coordination. As we expand into new states and launch new brands, you'll be the operational backbone that makes launches possible and keeps existing markets running smoothly.
If you thrive in complexity, care deeply about getting the details right, and know how to build supplier relationships that give a company real leverage, this role was built for you.
What You'll OwnIngredient Sourcing- Evaluate and qualify all ingredient suppliers (active and non-active) on quality, testing standards, production consistency, and capacity; maintain backup sourcing options for critical SKUs.
- Own all ingredient sourcing, including hemp/cannabis actives and all non-cannabis ingredients such as botanicals, adaptogens, and flavors. This includes building and managing vendor relationships with licensed cannabis cultivators/processors in NY, NJ, MA, and future states — this is relationship-driven sourcing, not catalog purchasing.
- Negotiate pricing, MOQs, and supply agreements for all ingredients; re-source when vendors fail or market conditions shift.
- Stay current on state-specific licensing rules and regulations that govern which entities can transact with which (requirements vary meaningfully by state).
Packaging Procurement & Spec Management- Own all packaging vendor relationships, including international suppliers and custom tooling
- Manage state-specific packaging specs across all markets and product categories; maintain compliance documentation for state regulatory audits
- Coordinate new SKU launches from end-to-end
- Manage lead times across domestic and international suppliers; maintain safety stock logic to prevent launch delays
- Track regulatory changes in active markets that affect packaging specs or sourcing; escalate proactively
SKU & Product Identifier Management- Own the creation, definition, and maintenance of all Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) for new and existing products across all brands and markets.
- Coordinate internal product data, including Bill of Materials (BOMs) and all required packaging information, ensuring accuracy across internal systems.
- Manage the registration of Universal Product Codes (UPCs) and other required product identifiers for all retail and e-commerce channels, including Amazon ASINs.
- Ensure product data integrity to support accurate inventory tracking, sales reporting, and financial cost modeling.
Contract Manufacturer Coordination- Serve as the primary operational contact with our contract manufacturer: production scheduling, formula handoffs, batch confirmations, COA review
- Coordinate the 3PL function; align inbound material timing with production runs to avoid idle time or stockouts
- Own escalation for QC issues, yield variances, or formula deviations
Compliance Coordination- Work with legal and operations to ensure supplier COAs, packaging materials, and label specs satisfy current state requirements
- Track regulatory changes in active markets that affect sourcing or packaging; escalate proactively
- Maintain documentation needed for state regulatory audits
Inventory & Demand Planning- Partner with sales leadership on demand forecasting; own raw material and packaging inventory positions
- Build and maintain reorder models; surface risk positions before they become stockouts or overstock situations
- Interface with internal inventory systems to maintain visibility across the supply chain
What We're Looking ForRequired:
- 5+ years of supply chain, procurement, or operations experience
- Experience sourcing active ingredients or raw materials through relationship-based supplier development, not just vendor management
- Demonstrated ability to manage international packaging suppliers, including tooling coordination and lead time management
- Comfortable managing multiple concurrent workstreams across different regulatory environments
- Strong attention to detail; able to track state-specific compliance variations without letting anything slip through
Strongly preferred:
- 2+ years in cannabis, hemp, or a similarly regulated CPG environment
- Familiarity with state cannabis licensing structures and how they affect supply chain (who can source from whom, what documentation is required, etc.)
- Experience supporting multi-brand or multi-market operations
- Exposure to contract manufacturing environments
The right person:
- Operates with a high degree of ownership. They don't wait to be told something is a problem.
- Builds supplier relationships that create real leverage for the company, not just transactional vendor lists.
- Is fluent in both the operational details and the strategic implications of supply chain decisions.
- Moves fast without cutting corners.
- Thrives in ambiguity
Compensation & Benefits- Base salary: $105,000–$120,000 (commensurate with experience)
- Eligibility for performance-based bonus
- Health benefits
- Remote-first with flexibility
