Position Overview
Title: Director of Operations
Location: Charlotte, NC
Reports To: VP Operations
The Director of Operations –is responsible for achieving optimal performance across all production lines. This includes driving efficiency, yield, and schedule compliance while ensuring strong safety, food safety, and quality culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure safety and food safety standards are consistently met.
- Execute and manage the weekly production schedule.
- Collaborate with Planning and Supply Chain to ensure materials and labor availability.
- Analyze operational performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
- Partner with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Sanitation teams.
- Lead RedZone utilization and performance tracking.
- Develop and grow team members and leadership talent.
- Partner with HR to recruit and retain talent.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is an experienced operations leader within food and beverage manufacturing, preferably in bakery or highly automated environments.
- 10+ years of manufacturing operations experience.
- Experience leading high-performing teams in 24/7 environments.
- Strong knowledge of safety, quality, OEE, and yield improvement.
- Proven leadership and team development capabilities.
- Experience with bakery systems and automated packaging preferred.
