Assistant Manager, Trucking Operations
Location: Miami, FL (Onsite – 5 days/week)
Salary: $65,000 – $80,000
Overview:
A growing logistics-focused organization is seeking an Assistant Manager of Transportation Operations to support daily dispatch activities and coordinate freight movement through third-party carriers and independent contractors. This role plays a key part in ensuring efficient scheduling, order accuracy, and strong communication across internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day dispatch operations and support dispatch staff
- Coordinate and schedule deliveries for internal and external customers
- Review and validate orders against operational requirements
- Communicate with third-party carriers and independent contractors
- Assist with daily operational planning and execution
- Monitor and report safety concerns; participate in safety meetings
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and customers
- Support onboarding and management of carrier partners
- Act as a liaison between operations, vendors, and customers
Qualifications:
- Experience in trucking, logistics, or transportation operations 7+ years of experience
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience with dispatching, routing, or fleet coordination
- Ability to work onsite full-time
- Spanish fluency required
