We are seeking a skilled and proactive MES Reliability Engineer with experience with Proficy software to join our Assurance Support team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the reliability, performance, and uptime of our Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), which are mission-critical to plant operations. You will serve as a technical expert for system health, incident response, and proactive improvements across a complex manufacturing IT landscape.

Please note: Only candidates who are authorized to work in the United States will be considered. Preference will be given to candidates based in Indiana.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain the health and performance of Proficy MES systems (Plant Applications, Historian, Workflow, etc.).
- Respond to MES incidents, perform root cause analysis for problem management, and drive long-term reliability solutions.
- Implement proactive monitoring tools, alerts, and dashboards to detect issues before they impact production.
- Partner with operations and automation teams to align MES reliability with plant uptime goals.
- Manage software patches, upgrades, backups, and disaster recovery readiness.
- Collaborate with vendors (GE Vernova, system integrators) for advanced troubleshooting and system roadmap planning.
- Document system configurations, SOPs, and contribute to the IT knowledge base.
- Provide on-call support for critical MES incidents in a 24x7 production environment.
- Monitor MES environments (Proficy Plant Applications, Historian, Workflow, and related modules) to ensure high availability and performance.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in IT Support, MES, or Reliability Engineering roles.
- Proven experience with Proficy suite (Plant Applications, Historian, Operations Hub, etc.).
- Strong understanding of Windows Server, SQL Server, and industrial network environments.
- Hands-on experience with incidents, problems, and change management (ITIL framework).
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments (pharma, food/bev, CPG, etc. a plus).
Preferred Certifications
- ITIL v4 Foundation or higher.
- Proficy certifications (Plant Applications, Historian, or Operations Hub).
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server / SQL Server.
- Reliability certifications (e.g., Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) or equivalent) – nice to have.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday (on call)
- Weekends as needed
- Scheduled coverage on a rotating basis
