Job Title: Inbound Logistics Specialist
Duration: 6 Months (Contract)
Locations: Remote (The candidate will have to work in PST time zone)
Payrate: $40 to $42/hr on w2
Key Responsibilities
Develop and Implement SOPs:
• Establish and document standard operating procedures for inbound logistics.
• Ensure all SOPs are aligned with the company’s transition to offshore vendors.
Coordinate Inbound Shipments:
• Manage and track all inbound shipments from both domestic and offshore vendors.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
Vendor Management:
• Liaise with both domestic and offshore vendors to coordinate shipments.
• Address any issues or delays in the supply chain.
Process Optimization:
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within inbound logistics.
• Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Inventory Management:
• Oversee the receipt and inspection of inbound goods.
• Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure accurate inventory records.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with the procurement, warehouse, and quality assurance teams.
• Ensure seamless communication and coordination across departments.
Compliance and Documentation:
• Ensure all inbound logistics activities comply with relevant regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments and inventory.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in logistics coordination, preferably with a focus on inbound logistics.
• Strong understanding of supply chain processes and best practices.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in logistics and inventory management software.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with offshore vendor management.
• Knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs processes.
