Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a centralized PMO supporting a broad range of business functions, including investment operations, technology, data, finance, and HR. This individual will play a key role in driving complex initiatives from planning through execution, partnering closely with stakeholders across the organization to ensure successful delivery and measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects through the full lifecycle, including scope definition, planning, execution, and delivery
- Drive projects to completion by proactively managing risks, resolving issues, and ensuring consistent progress
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and realization of business objectives
- Build and manage cross-functional project teams; assign tasks and monitor workloads and dependencies
- Track and report on project status, timelines, risks, and key milestones
- Escalate risks and issues as needed, contributing to resolution strategies
- Communicate effectively with project teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership, ensuring alignment and expectation management
- Develop clear, structured documentation and presentations tailored to various audiences
- Facilitate meetings to gather requirements, drive alignment, and support decision-making
- Maintain discipline around project budgets, documentation, testing, and training activities
- Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience within investment management organizations, with a strong focus on project management
- Proven experience delivering complex, cross-functional projects within investment operations environments
- Strong understanding of modern software implementation methodologies
- Deep knowledge of the end-to-end investment operations lifecycle, including workflows, systems, and supporting platforms
- Exposure to a variety of asset classes, investment types, and security instruments, with an understanding of their role in investment strategies
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with investment management platforms and order management systems
- Familiarity with enterprise investment systems (e.g., portfolio management or trading platforms)
- Project management certifications (e.g., PMP or equivalent)
- Experience driving change management initiatives
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
