Shipping & Logistics Coordinator

The Shipping & Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing all inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with both domestic and international shipping requirements. This role serves as the primary point of contact for all shipping-related activities, working closely with internal teams and external carriers to ensure efficient and effective logistics operations.
This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can take full ownership of the shipping function, communicate effectively, and support overall operational needs within the organization.

Duties and Activities for Primary Role and Additional Responsibilities include:
· Serve as the primary point of contact for all shipping and receiving activities
· Manage the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies
· Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and compliance
· Coordinate with carriers (UPS, freight providers, etc.)
· Utilize shipping platforms such as UPS WorldShip (or similar portals) to process shipments
· Track, trace, and provide updates on incoming and outgoing shipments
· Maintain accurate shipping records, logs, and inventory counts
· Communicate with internal teams including operations, sales, and customer service regarding shipment status and timelines
· Ensure timely processing of shipments to meet customer delivery expectations
· Support international shipping processes, including documentation and coordination as needed
· Monitor and maintain shipping supplies and packaging materials
· Assist with receiving and unloading shipments, including use of equipment such as forklifts when required
· Perform light assembly, preparation, or finishing work (e.g., painting, putting materials together) as needed
· Support invoicing related to shipments when applicable
· Complete minimal local runs or pickups/deliveries as required
· Assist with additional operational duties based on business needs
Reporting and Collaboration:
· Reports directly to Joyce Legge and Operations Leadership
· Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and Shop Operations to ensure alignment on shipping priorities
· Position Requirements Demonstrated:
· High school diploma or equivalent required
· Prior experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, or warehouse operations preferred
· Experience with shipping platforms (e.g., UPS WorldShip or similar systems) preferred
· Familiarity with international shipping processes is a plus
· Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
· Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
· Forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
