Terminal Operations Manager
SalSon Logistics is hiring a Terminal Operations Manager to lead and elevate our Manteno, IL operation.
This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving performance across rail and dedicated operations. We are looking for someone who doesn’t wait for direction—someone who takes ownership, leads from the front, and builds strong, accountable teams.
What You’ll Do
Oversee daily terminal operations including rail and dedicated customer accounts
Lead, coach, and develop a team of supervisors, dispatchers, and drivers
Ensure on-time performance, service excellence, and operational efficiency
Manage staffing, scheduling, and workload planning
Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain strong communication with customers and internal leadership
Ensure compliance with all safety, DOT, and company standards
Take full ownership of terminal performance—this is your operation to run
What We’re Looking For
Proven leadership experience in transportation, logistics, or terminal operations
Strong ability to work independently and make decisions with confidence
Experience mentoring and developing teams—not just managing them
Hands-on, solutions-driven mindset with a sense of urgency
Experience with Profit Tools (TMS) strongly preferred
Knowledge of rail operations and dedicated fleet management is a plus
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
