We are seeking a Senior Quality & Compliance Manager to lead and manage quality, security, and compliance programs within a transportation and logistics environment in Glenwood, IL. This full-time role is ideal for a hands-on, experienced professional capable of independently overseeing industry certifications, regulatory standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
As the Senior Quality & Compliance Manager, you will ensure the organization meets all internal and external compliance requirements, lead audits, develop SOPs, and serve as the subject-matter expert on quality and security standards. This position offers autonomy, authority, and the opportunity to make a significant impact in a stable logistics operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage quality, security, and compliance programs across logistics and transportation operations in Glenwood, IL
- Own and maintain compliance with TAPA, CTPAT, AMEX9, Bonded Carrier certifications, and ISO standards
- Prepare for, lead, and oversee internal and external audits to ensure regulatory adherence
- Develop, implement, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to quality, risk, and security
- Monitor and maintain ongoing compliance with U.S. and international transportation regulations
- Collaborate with operations and leadership teams to identify risks, corrective actions, and process improvements
- Serve as the organization's subject-matter expert for quality, security, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain thorough documentation, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with TAPA, CTPAT, AMEX9, Bonded Carrier Certification, and ISO standards
- Background in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or freight operations
- Experience leading audits and managing compliance programs end-to-end
- Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
- Strong analytical, documentation, and organizational skills
- Professional, executive-level communication and leadership abilities
- Detail-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving approach
