We are looking for a dedicated and organized Logistics Coordinator to oversee daily transportation operations and ensure efficient delivery of goods. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who excels in communication and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This is a Contract-to-Permanent position based in Winter Park, Florida.
Responsibilities:
• Schedule tanker truck carriers for pickups at vendor locations and arrange deliveries to customer sites.
• Coordinate all shipments by adhering to established timelines and operational guidelines.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing and resolving scheduling or delivery-related concerns.
• Monitor shipment progress and update internal systems with accurate and timely information.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to maintain and track shipment data efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with logistics processes to optimize delivery efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with vendors and carriers to ensure smooth transportation operations.
• Address unforeseen logistical challenges and implement effective solutions to minimize delays.
• Proven experience in logistics coordination or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of shipping functions, scheduling, and shipment tracking.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers and vendors effectively.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Problem-solving skills to address and resolve logistical challenges.
• Familiarity with logistics systems and tools is a plus.
