IT Support & Installation Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and motivated IT Support Technician to provide technical support for end users, maintain IT systems and equipment, and assist with day-to-day operations across client and internal environments. This role requires a strong customer service mindset, solid troubleshooting skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in both onsite and remote support settings. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and willing to learn new technologies as needed.
Responsibilities:
In this role, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues
- Installing and configuring IT equipment, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
- Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting servers (Windows/Linux) and network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Running, terminating, and testing network and data cabling in office and industrial environments
- Supporting users both onsite (50%) and remotely (50%)
- Maintaining and troubleshooting operating systems and business-critical applications
- Organizing IT workflows to streamline support operations and ensure efficient service delivery
- Establishing IT support best practices and maintaining up-to-date documentation of processes, configurations, and systems
- Ensuring compliance with IT security policies and procedures
- Collaborating with vendors and internal teams on system upgrades, installations, and IT projects
- Managing time effectively to prioritize support requests, project tasks, and customer needs
- Providing onsite technical support for client locations, including troubleshooting, installations, and maintenance
- Participating in customer service meetings to review issues, provide updates, and maintain strong client relationships
- Following internal IT processes to ensure consistency, accountability, and quality of service
- Performing audits of systems, devices, configurations, and processes to identify gaps and maintain standards
- Deploying, monitoring, and troubleshooting antivirus and endpoint protection solutions
- Assisting with security setup and configuration, including user access, device security, and basic hardening measures
- Monitoring alerts from IT and security systems, responding or escalating as needed
- Completing other duties and assigned tasks as needed to support business and client operations
Qualifications:
- Experience providing IT support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and common business applications (At least 2 years in Business Environment)
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, networking, and troubleshooting methodologies
- Experience with servers, networking equipment, and firewall support preferred
- Medical systems: EMRs/EHRs, imaging systems, dental/medical software
- Experience with running and terminating network cabling preferred
- Ability to travel onsite with minimal notice within a two-hour radius
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills and effective time management
- Ability to document work clearly and follow established processes
- Experience with antivirus, endpoint protection, and basic IT security practices preferred
- Willingness to learn new systems, tools, and technologies
- Azure experience in MSP environment is desired but not required
- Available to participate in an on-call rotation to provide emergency support after hours and on weekends.
