Position Summary:
The Production Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety. This role plays a key part in driving continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring production targets are met in a cost-effective manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Design & Optimization
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and control costs
- Ensure all processes comply with safety standards and industry regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support process improvements and new product introductions
Production Planning & Scheduling
- Plan and coordinate production schedules to meet delivery timelines
- Monitor production performance and adjust plans as needed using ERP/MRP systems
Quality Assurance
- Establish and maintain quality control procedures to ensure product standards are met
- Conduct inspections, analyze production data, and implement corrective actions
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Support troubleshooting of production equipment and systems to minimize downtime
- Coordinate preventive maintenance activities with maintenance teams
Cost Control & Efficiency Improvement
- Analyze production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction
- Lead initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce material waste
Collaboration & Communication
- Partner with production, quality, maintenance, and management teams to drive continuous improvement
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders on production performance and improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- Experience working in a bilingual environment (Korean/English preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field
- 4–5 years of experience in a Production Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, or similar role
- Experience in battery, electronics, or automotive manufacturing preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and production planning tools
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills
